Overall Guidelines

Abstract Submission Guidelines


  • Abstract submission is open till 31.07.2018.
  • Abstracts must be in English or Bulgarian.
  • Congress Registration is mandatory for Abstract Presenter.
  • Every participant is allowed to participate with up to 3 abstracts as a presenter and up to 3 as a main author.
  • Posters must contemplate a synthesis of the scientific paper, containing: title, authors, institution, introduction, objectives, methods and results (when it comes to research) and conclusions.
  • Please note that the Scientific committee’s will have the final decision on the presentation type.

Poster specific guidelines

  • Participants will be given the opportunity to present a short oral presentations.
  • The duration of the PP presentations will take 10 minutes (not more than 15 slides). After 10 minutes’ presentation time expires the PPP will be automatically and irrevocably closed by the software.
  • In case of an impossibility of the author to present, the co-author can do this instead of him/her only in case the new presenter is already registered.
  • Please note that the Scientific committee’s will have the final decision on the presentation type.

Oral presentation specific guidelines

  • All attendants who have a poster should stay in front of their poster during the poster session for comment if there are any questions from the audience.
  • There will be a jury to assess every poster.
  • Posters must contemplate a synthesis of the scientific paper, containing the following items: title, authors, institution, introduction, objectives, methods & results (when it comes to research) and conclusions.
  • Please note that the Scientific committee’s will have the final decision on the presentation type.
  • Poster size: width - 80cm and height - 120cm

Abstract evaluation criteria

A special criterion for accepting abstracts will be their topic as well as structure, content and degree of innovation. Each abstract will be anonymously assessed by more than two reviewers, according to the following:

  • Contribution to the scientific aspects of the General practice/family medicine discipline.
  • Contribution to the primary health care.
  • Compliance with abstract submission guidelines.
  • Contribution to medical science and good medical practice in general.
  • Clear language.
